Web hosting is a crazy world with everyone offering this special and
that special, all of the information or lack of, can be rather
overwhelming. So we have put together a few helpful tips and of course
why we so strongly recommend one company in particular. Saying that we
do realize that this recommendation is not for everyone.
Getting Started
Choose and register a domain name that is both
effective and relevant to your site. When it comes to domain names,
simple is better because you want customers to be able to remember
your site's address.
Domain Names
We recommend namecheap.com. We don’t receive anything from them for referrals, but we do have
all of our domains registered with them and find that they provide excellent service,
with out bombarding us with emails. Once you get your domain
set up, it is time to look at hosting companies.
Hosting...They are not all
the same!
We have had the
unfortunate experience to have tried some pretty awful companies. We
will not name – names, as that is just bad business.
When it comes to hosting, if you don’t have proper customer support,
you are in for one headache after another.
As you have probably already seen we use kiosk, besides their
excellent customer service, they have hot conference, which allows you
to talk through your computer with a microphone and speakers at no
cost. They have to many features to list here, but we will mention
they are not the cheapest but are the best we have found over the
years for us. When it comes to marketing they are experts and don’t
mind sharing advice. They offer income opportunities, which can
off-set your costs and so much more...
